How to check an HVAC contratista's license in Texas

Anyone who instala or repairs aire acondicionado in Texas for pay must hold, or work under, an A/C contratista license from TDLR.

1. Ask the contractor for its license number. It starts with TACLA (Class A, any size) or TACLB (Class B, up to 25 tons cooling).
2. Search the number or company name at [TRANSLATE: TDLR License Search...].
3. Confirm the status is active y the expiration date is in the future.
4. Check the name on the license matches the company on your contract.
